Springfield Armory M1 Carbine Stock

On the Springfield Armory M1 Carbine, all of the boxes will say Synthetic when you receive them. If the stock is wood, and not sythetic, there will be a sticker at the end of the box that says wood. We put the stickers on ourselves. 

 

A way to tell if your gun has a wood stock and not a synthetic stock, the wood stock is more solid and sounds like wood when you tap on it. 

 

If the stock is synthetic, you will see a part line in the stock and feel and see the seam line. 

 

The synthetic stocks have a more wood grain look, but wood is a more traditional look. Both guns do work the same way.
