You may need to remove the barrel assembly to switch receivers or repair the bolt or handle on your Diana air gun. Use this how-to guide to remove the old breech and bolt-probe.
You will need a set of metric Allen keys.
- Start by loosening the barrel band.
- After you loosen the barrel band, remove the three screws from the front of the breach and pull the barrel out.
- Remove the stock or grip.
- Remove the small screw in the top of the breech where the single shot tray/magazine would sit.
- Remove the second screw holding the breach to the lower tube, located underneath the rear of the tube.
- You can now lift the receiver off of the lower tube.
- Underneath the receiver, locate the cocking screw that protrudes from the bolt probe - remove that screw.
- Un-thread the bolt handle from the bolt probe.
- Pull the bolt probe from the breach.
Reverse the process to re-install the replacement breach.
When mounting the breach into the lower tube, make sure the cocking screw from step 5 is in front of the tube's striker screw (the bolt handle must be fully forward).
